Comptia a+ Technician

A+ Certification is a CompTIA-sponsored testing program that certifies the competency of entry-level (6 months experience) computer service technicians. Major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers and publications back the program. A+ certification signifies that the certified individual possesses the knowledge and skills essential for a successful entry-level (6 months experience) computer service technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry. The A+ Training course at Austin Community College is a 128-hour Two Part program including lecture, labs, and exam preparation. The course will prepare students for the CompTIA A+ Essentials certification examination. Prerequisite: A desire to learn. Required book: Mike Meyers' CompTIA A+ Guide to Managing and Troubleshooting PCs, Sixth Edition (Exams 220-1001 and 220-1002) 6th Edition, ISBN-13: 978-1-260-45506-9, ISBN-10: 1-260-45506-8.

The CompTIA A+ certification exam has been designed as the leading industry standard to determine a computer technicians hardware and software knowledge. Often referred to as the "entry-level" exam, the A+ exam is actually one of the few tests that require you to pass not just one, but two parts:
A+ Core Hardware
A+ Operating Systems Technology Exam

Taking tests is no fun. There’s a reason it’s a common nightmare for anyone that’s ever been in school, even briefly. This goes double for CompTIA exams which are a big investment in terms of time and preparation.

While self-study is important, it’s okay to need a little extra help. That’s why LeaderQuest offers tech industry training with expert instructors to help you pass your CompTIA courses, get your certification, and prepare you for your career in IT.
